On Thursday, December 20, 2018 the City’s consultant, Dubois & King, Inc. will be coordinating a pavement coring program on Marlboro Street. They will direct their subconsultant, SW Cole Engineering Inc. to drill ten small-diameter holes into the pavement surface. The pavement coring equipment will occupy one travel lane. Flaggers will be used to safely direct traffic around the work areas, which will move along Marlboro Street as the day progresses. Please use caution when driving through the work zone. The cores will be used to verify the composition and thickness of the existing asphalt and concrete roadway surface. This information will be used to update the design plans for the planned 2019 Marlboro Street Rehabilitation Project.
