On Monday, March 4, 2019 Liberty Utilities plans to begin gas main replacement along Marlboro Street. The gas main is being replaced in the street in preparation for the City’s planned Marlboro Street Rehabilitation Project later this year. Liberty Utilities, through their authorized contractor, will begin their work along the northern
side of the street. They will use directional drilling to install the new gas main under the sidewalk with minimal surface disturbance. Once this portion along Marlboro Street is constructed, they will move to side streets East of Beaver Brook to install portions of new gas main via traditional open-cut methods. Finally, they will begin replacement of the remainder of the new gas main along Marlboro Street via open-cut methods.
