Injuries Reported: None.
Summary of incident: Fire units were dispatched to a report of a building fire at 15 Meetinghouse Road. Car 3 arrived establishing command of a 2-story residential house with smoke coming from the front door. A 2nd alarm was transmitted at 1107 hours. Crews found a kitchen fire on the 1st floor. Engine 1 crew stretched a hoseline to extinguish the fire and the Ladder 2 crew assisted with search and rescue. Upon checking the house, there was no one home at the time of the fire. One dog was rescued from the house. The dog was treated and Keene Police transported the dog to the Court Street Vet.
The fire was contained to the kitchen, with heat and smoke damage to the rest of the house. The building and contents damage is estimated at $100,000 and three occupants have been displaced as a result of the fire.
